Hi, we are Martina and Jonas, founders of Cream on Chrome, a socially-engaged experience design studio in Rotterdam. By creating interactive storytelling and phygital experiences, we help organizations connect with audiences and make complex ideas understandable. We also initiate design research projects, in which we explore new perspectives on economy, journalism, ecology and the social implications of emergent technologies.

Martina Huynh’s profound interest in systemic relations largely contributes to the political angle of Cream on Chrome. This affinity for structures is also mirrored in the way she approaches electronic prototyping and coding interactions. Martina graduated cum laude from her BA in Media & Communication at Design Academy Eindhoven (NL) and has worked as a design researcher and experience designer.

Jonas Althaus brings an innate sensitivity for materials, spatial relations, tactility, gestures and their implications for the bigger picture. Like this he is grounding projects in the corporal, implicit sphere. Jonas received his BA in Product Design at Bauhaus University Weimar (DE) and his MA in Social Design at Design Academy Eindhoven (NL). He previously worked in various exhibition design bureaus across Germany and Switzerland.
